8. Work experience applications
8.1 We may invite students or young people to apply for work experience opportunities through our website.
8.2 Submission of an application does not guarantee:
a. an interview;
b. an offer of placement;
c. a placement with a particular business, mentor or organisation; or
d. a placement of any particular duration, format or start date.
8.3 We reserve the right to determine eligibility criteria for work experience opportunities, including age, availability, suitability, conduct, safeguarding considerations, and capacity.
8.4 We may close applications at any time, change the application process, or withdraw a work experience opportunity without notice.
8.5 We may shortlist applicants and contact only selected applicants.
9. Applicant responsibilities
9.1 By applying for work experience, you confirm that:
a. the information in your application is accurate and not misleading;
b. any CV, personal statement or supporting material submitted is your own or is submitted with proper permission;
c. you will behave honestly, respectfully and professionally throughout the application and, if selected, during the placement;
d. you will follow reasonable instructions, safeguarding rules, and any health and safety requirements communicated to you.
9.2 Where the applicant is under 18, a parent, guardian, school or college may be required to confirm consent, emergency contact details, availability, or other relevant information before a placement can proceed.
9.3 We may reject or withdraw an application where:
a. information provided is incomplete, inaccurate or misleading;
b. the applicant does not meet eligibility requirements;
c. we reasonably consider that the placement would not be appropriate, safe or workable; or
d. required consent or documentation is not provided.
10. Special adjustments and accessibility
10.1 Applicants may tell us about any reasonable adjustments or support needs relevant to the application process or placement.
10.2 We will consider such information in line with applicable law and our Privacy Notice.
10.3 You should provide only information that is relevant and necessary for us to assess and support your application or placement.
11. Placement arrangements
11.1 Where a work experience placement is offered, additional terms may apply depending on the placement provider, host organisation, school or college, and the nature of the placement.
11.2 A work experience placement may be:
a. hosted directly by Wahab Tutoring;
b. organised by Wahab Tutoring with a third-party host; or
c. subject to separate host organisation policies and requirements.
11.3 Applicants offered a placement may be required to comply with:
a. health and safety rules;
b. safeguarding procedures;
c. attendance requirements;
d. confidentiality obligations;
e. codes of conduct; and
f. any school, college or host placement documentation.
11.4 We reserve the right to amend, postpone, shorten, relocate, supervise differently, or cancel a placement where reasonably necessary for operational, safeguarding, legal, health and safety, or other legitimate reasons.
12. Safeguarding and conduct
12.1 We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and appropriate environment for students, young people, staff, volunteers and partners.
12.2 Any applicant or participant in a work experience placement must behave appropriately and in accordance with any safeguarding, conduct or behavioural expectations notified by us or the host organisation.
12.3 We may suspend, end, or refuse a placement immediately where we reasonably believe that:
a. there has been misconduct, unsafe behaviour, harassment, discrimination, dishonesty or serious disruption;
b. safeguarding concerns arise;
c. the participant fails to follow reasonable instructions or key placement rules; or
d. continuation of the placement is not in the best interests of the participant, other individuals, or the organisation.
13. Health and safety
13.1 Where a placement takes place, participants must take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, and follow all safety instructions, induction requirements and reporting procedures.
13.2 The organisation hosting the placement may have primary day-to-day responsibility for workplace health and safety during the placement.
13.3 Participants must immediately report accidents, near misses, hazards, injuries, illness, concerns, or unsafe situations to the relevant supervisor or contact person.
14. Insurance
14.1 Any work experience placement is subject to suitable insurance arrangements being in place where required.
14.2 Where a placement is hosted by a third party, that host may be responsible for maintaining relevant insurance cover for the placement.
14.3 We may request confirmation of insurance arrangements from a host organisation before a placement begins.
15. Confidentiality
15.1 During a placement, participants may receive access to non-public information relating to us, our clients, our students, our business partners or a host organisation.
15.2 Participants must keep confidential information private and must not disclose, copy, share or use it except as authorised or required for the placement.
15.3 This obligation continues after the placement ends.
15.4 Nothing in this clause prevents a person from reporting a genuine safeguarding concern, legal issue or serious wrongdoing through an appropriate channel.
16. Data protection and privacy
16.1 We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
16.2 Our use of personal data, including data submitted through contact forms, bookings, and work experience applications, is explained in our Privacy Notice.
16.3 By using the website or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that your personal data may be processed for purposes connected with:
a. responding to enquiries;
b. delivering services;
c. administering applications;
d. assessing suitability for placements;
e. communicating with applicants, parents, schools, colleges or placement hosts where appropriate;

d. withdrawal, refusal or cancellation of a work experience opportunity;
e. acts or omissions of third-party hosts, service providers, schools, colleges or other external organisations.
18.4 Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount paid by you to us for the relevant service, or if no payment was made, £100.
19. Indemnity
19.1 You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Wahab Tutoring against any losses, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of:
a. your breach of these Terms and Conditions;
b. your misuse of the website; or
c. your infringement of any rights of another person or organisation.
20. Suspension and termination
20.1 We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the website or any service, or reject or end an application or placement, where reasonably necessary:
a. to protect our business, users, staff, students or partners;
b. for legal, safeguarding, conduct or health and safety reasons;
c. due to suspected misuse or breach of these Terms and Conditions; or
d. due to operational changes or unavailability.
21. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
21.1 We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
21.2 Updated terms will be posted on this website and will take effect from the published effective date.
21.3 Continued use of the website after changes are posted indicates acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
22. General
22.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

23.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
