Dentistry
This work experience provides an introduction to the day-to-day operations of a dental practice. You may observe routine dental procedures, learn about patient care and hygiene standards, and see how dental professionals work together in a clinical environment. Students may also assist with basic administrative tasks such as organising patient records, preparing treatment rooms, and understanding how appointments are managed.

The placement provides a valuable insight into careers in dentistry and the skills required to work in a professional healthcare setting.​

Law
This placement offers students an insight into the professional environment of a legal practice. Students may gain exposure to how solicitors and legal staff handle cases, prepare legal documents, and communicate with clients. They may also learn about different areas of law and how legal work is carried out on a day-to-day basis.

Students may support the office with simple tasks such as filing paperwork, organising case documents, and observing how appointments and consultations are arranged. This experience helps students understand the pathways into legal careers and the skills needed to succeed in the profession.
Pharmacy
This work experience introduces students to the daily operations of a community pharmacy. Students may observe how prescriptions are processed, learn about the safe handling and storage of medicines, and see how pharmacists provide advice and support to patients. They will gain an understanding of the important role pharmacies play in healthcare.

Students may also assist with simple tasks such as organising stock, labelling items, and supporting general administrative duties. This placement helps students develop an awareness of careers in pharmacy and the responsibilities involved in working within a healthcare setting.

Hospital
This work experience provides students with an introduction to the day-to-day environment of a hospital setting. Students may observe how healthcare professionals collaborate to deliver patient care and gain insight into the different roles that support hospital operations, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.

During the placement, students may observe clinical routines, patient interactions, and how teams communicate to ensure safe and effective care. They may also assist with simple non-clinical tasks such as organising materials, supporting administrative duties, and learning how different hospital departments function.
